– Louisa Sheldon, aged nineteen years, of Compton Mills, N.J., hung herself to a rafter in a barn on Friday night.  She was a beautiful girl, a social favorite and belonged to a well-to-do and respected family.  She had formed an attachment for a young man whom she met at a summer resort, but her parents put a stop to their correspondence, and this caused her to commit suicide.
